The Port Hawkesbury Literacy Council presents Feis 2016 Midwives and Moonshine, Thursday, November 3 at the Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre.
Enjoy a wonderful evening complete with a delicious dinner, 50/50 draw. an silent auction. The event will feature readings by two of Nova Scotia’s own authors.
Ami McKay is the author of the Virgin Cure, ad most recently the Witches of New York. He book, the Birth House was a #1 best seller in Canada, winner of three CBA Libris Awards, nominated for an IMPAC Dublin Literacy Award, and is a book club favourite around the world.
David Muise identifies himself as a “recovering politician” a lawyer, and author of Awake at a Wake, and Awake Yet? He is also a regular contributor to The Cape Breton Post with his popular column I’m Just Sayin”.
Doors open at 6:000 p.m., with dinner at 6:30 p.m.and is followed by a silent auction, 50/50 winner announcement, and authors’ readings, book sale and signing.
